Codebase is one of Tom Butcher's primary projects for solo music. Usually focused on dance-oriented electronic tracks, Codebase got its start with a chance meeting with the British group Swayzak, who released the first Codebase songs on their own label. Later signed to Force Inc., Codebase's debut album Style Encoding in 2004 set the stage for fusing retro dance sounds with today's technology
